australia's first breast cancer choir

Tears of laughter, pain and joy - life is beautiful when sung by these true survivors

Australia’s First Breast Cancer Choir, The D Majors, hits the road in May 2016 to bring their unique brand of music, fun and friendship to regional NSW.

Based in Newcastle NSW and made up of cancer survivors, women who have friends or family members with cancer, women who have always wanted to sing and never had an opportunity, women from all walks of life — this joyful kaleidoscope will hit you with their uplifting repertoire, moving verbatim theatre piece and original song ‘True Survivor’ written by Tamworth-raised Alison Lancey.

In their Inaugural visit to Tamworth, you will hear songs like Big Yellow Taxi, Fix You, Here Comes the Sun, That’s What Friends Are For, Stand By Me and many others that will have you wishing you could sing along, with the great news that sometimes you can!

Under the glittery baton of Lauren O’Brien, you will be glad you came to hear these pink purveyors of positivity who will touch and move you with their strength, camaraderie and joyful celebration.
