This institute accredited, one day intensive art making workshop day for primary teachers will be packed with new and innovative practical ways to address visual arts outcomes in a classroom setting.
Using the Landmarks: Featuring works from the John Kaldor Family collection at the Art Gallery of New South Wales as a starting point, this program aims to spark learning across the curriculum. Included will be creative strategies for looking at art and programming ideas for the classroom, incorporating a blend of specially designed art experiences, workshops and hands-on activities suitable to take back to school and use in your classroom.
The Art Gallery of NSW is endorsed to provide QTC Registered Professional Development for teachers accredited at Proficient Teacher level. Completing Art Lab Plus will contribute 4 hours of QTC addressing 2.1.2, 2.2.2, 3.3.2, 3.4.2, 6.2.2 and 6.4.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Accreditation in NSW.
Price includes all materials, resources, and a catered lunch and afternoon tea.

Times: 10am register for a 10.30am start, the event will finish at 4pm
Dress regulations: Closed in shoes (no sandals or thongs please) and appropriate clothing for art activities.
Participants will be required to fill in an information questionaire when purchasing tickets.
