Full payment must be made prior to class 1 which covers the cost of the 4 workshops and is non refundable.
Materials are not part of the initial cost and must be purchased by the student.

Materials List –Painting
You will need the following:
3 (25 x 25 cm) (approx.) square primed MDF boards/canvases
If priming own MDF boards make sure you use at least 2 coats of GESSO.
Acrylic paints (brands include Matisse, Atelier, Art Spectrum, Global, Chromacryl and Derivan (in order of decreasing quality and price)
Titanium White
Black
Ultramarine Blue (warm mid tone blue)
Prussian Blue (cool dark blue)
Cadmium or Spectrum red (warm red)
Alizarin Crimson (cool dark red)
Cadmium yellow (warm yellow)
Lemon yellow (cool yellow)
Raw Umber or Burnt Umber (whichever is the darkest brown)
Buy what you can afford. Tubes are fine although a tub of white might be handy as this is used a lot in producing tints.
Bristle brushes 2,4,6,10,12 (flat and round tipped -a variety is good)
Palette (A3 size) – flat piece of firm white/clear, plastic/Perspex substance is best.
Rags (e.g. old T-towel or t-shirt)
Protective apron/shirt (opt)
Other materials required:
At least 3 x A3 cartridge sheets
Sketchbook (A4)
Graphite pencils 2B and 4B
Stanley knife/pencil sharpener
Charcoal-willow (medium)
Eraser (putty and hard)
Most of the first lesson will involve drawing and working out compositions in the series which is to be painted in subsequent lessons.
