Learn Kantha style embroidery to create a simple running stitch to create a beautiful square sample, with textile artist Michele Elliot.
A great class for people interested in contemporary embroidery and the meditative craft of slow stitching. Kantha is a traditional type of embroidery native to eastern South Asia, in particular Bangladesh and the neighboring Indian states of West Bengal and Odisha, along the Bay of Bengal.
This technique is used in mending as well as making exquisite quilts.
Suitable for all levels.
